It is best to leave this feature turned off unless you really need it. There is also an internal 10 year lithium battery that allows the unit to keep stored data when it is turned off.

These screens can all be customized to show you a number of different navigational needs including; heading, bearing, speed, direction, ETA, and your exact position in a number or formats, including longitude/latitude, Universal Transverse Mercator, Military Grid and Ordnance Survey of Britain Conversion.
